Venture capital firm NEA has been a respected player among founders, LPs, and the greater VC community for over 45 years. Its track record includes investments in some of the most transformational companies across technology and healthcare of the past half-century—from Cloudflare to CRISPR.
But the venture space has evolved considerably since NEA’s inception—especially in the past 10 years as economic climates have shifted, founders have become more fundraising-savvy, and the VC content machine has taken on a life of its own.
Wanting to evolve their brand to meet the moment, NEA tapped Studio Mococo to help bring modernity to the firm’s strategy and identity.
Our positioning was written to evoke NEA’s role as a stabilizing force on the company-building journey and its innate sense of curiosity.
Derived from the serif typography of our logo, the arrowhead is leveraged as a versatile graphic device to convey the brand’s personality and offer a sense of guidance and direction—representing the role of the firm itself.
Often the first touchpoint a founder has with the firm, we reimagined NEA’s website to express the firm’s relationship-centric ethos through refreshed design, content, and structure.
