There’s no such thing as being fully prepared for realities of parenthood, but there’s certainly plenty of insight that can help make the ride a little smoother.
When buybuyBaby asked for our help in creating their own, in-house line of baby basics, we wanted to create something that offered new parents the support and reassurance they need when embarking on their parenthood journey.
The result was Mighty Goods—a complete line of baby basics built with the intention of always having the backs of new parents through the early stages of childhood. Much like the vetted advice from a trusted friend or family member, Mighty Goods delivers parents helpful foresight in the form of clever products that equip them with everything they need for those oh so joyful but sleepless, early years.
The mighty goods logo is a custom-drawn rounded sans-serif. It’s soft, friendly curves are meant to evoke a squishy and squeezable feeling. The ‘mighty’ is the prominent focus for impact, while ‘goods’ snuggles neatly between the descenders of the g and y.
As a graphic element, the brand employs a squircle—an imperfect not-quite-circle, not-quite-square shape derived from the title of the ‘i’ in mighty. The squircle pattern is used as a design element to add texture and interest to product and marketing executions, evoking a sense of squishiness and whimsy.
