The most powerful brands are both strategically sharp and emotionally relevant to their target audiences. That’s why we blend our foundational brand strategy with design and creative expression: each discipline informing the other to make the work stronger, more resonant, and more timely. We come by this approach honestly—with each practice equally represented within the studio. Our unique dual-expertise allows us to help our clients build brands that matter to their most important audiences.
Our culture is built on collaboration, both within our studio’s walls and with our diverse client sets, because we believe that the only work worth making springs from genuine partnership. You are the experts in your brand. It’s our job to listen closely and reflect what we’re hearing back to you, through visual exploration and strategic framing. We come to the table presuming positive intent, and we work hard to leave every engagement as friends, future collaborators and fans of one another.
Whether it’s our clients, our team members, or ourselves, we’re constantly pushing for truly exceptional work that breaks through creatively and meaningfully moves the business forward.

Martin Grasser is an artist and designer based in the Bay Area. He produces work in an iterative mode, isolating core concepts and expanding upon them through repetition.
In 2016, Martin joined forces with strategic partner Gabrielle Muse to launch Studio Mococo. At Mococo he leads a diverse creative team focused on producing honest and ambitious brands that celebrate art in the everyday.
Prior to founding Studio Mococo, Martin served as Director of Design for West, a multi-disciplinary strategy and creative studio based in San Francisco. At West, he worked on a portfolio of brands including Twitter, Rdio, Anki, and Braintree.
In addition to his work at Mococo, Martin maintains a fine art and type design practice through which he explores systems, abstraction, and translation. His work has been featured on It’s Nice That, Design Milk, Design Boom and more. In 2021, his typeface Color Dot Font received a prize nomination in Experimental Work from the Tokyo TDC.
During rare downtime from art, design, and type Martin fills the silence with his family, films, and podcasts.
